Down’s syndrome. Cause: Trisomy of chromosome No. 21.

Down’s syndrome. Features:

  • Child has broad face.
  • Obliquely placed palpebral fissures.
  • Epicanthus
  • Furrowed lower lip.
  • Broad hand with single transverse crease.
  • Mental retardation.
  • Anomalies of the heart.

Answer:

Klinefelter’s syndrome. Cause: Presence of extra X; XXY

Klinefelter’s syndrome. Effects:

  • Gynaecomastia.
