Answer. Pneumonia is an accumulation of secretions and inflammatory cells inthe  alveolar spaces of the lungs caused by infection.

Clinical Features: pneumonia.

Symptoms

  1. Malaise, fever, rigors, and night sweats, vomiting in the elderly confusion and disorientation.
  2. Dyspnea, cough, and sputum which is often blood­stained or rusty and diffilt to expectorate.
  3. Pain aggravated by cough, deep breath or movement,usually localized to site of inflmmation.
