Write a short note on pharyngeal arches.

These are horseshoe-shaped cylindrical bars/elevations on either side in the anterolateral portion of wall of primitive pharynx.
Each pharyngeal arch consists of four components:
- A core of mesoderm
- A cartilaginous bar
- A pharyngeal arch artery
- A nerve
