Question. Write a short note on the etiology of gingivitis.

Answer. Gingivitis is the inflammation of the gingiva and occurs in acute, sub-acute, and chronic forms.

Etiology

  • Local Factors
    • Microorganisms: Plaque associated with gingivitis is complex and heterogeneous.
